Not your typical college student, Garrett came to Texas A&M from California with his son to study economics. Garrett began his college career at a local community college, never believing that attending a 4-year college was possible. It was Texas A&M that gave Garrett the chance to fulfill his dream of graduating with a bachelor’s degree while also being the primary caretaker of his young son.
