Construction science prof Youngjib Ham is helping to develop next-generation building and civil engineering educational tools in a $300K National Science Foundation-funded study. In the project, Ham is creating digital, interactive civil/building engineering systems for students to explore and control real-world problems in classrooms using smartphones and 'smart' sensors.
