A new play area designed by landscape architecture students

Youngsters at the Becky Gates Children’s Center are having fun, exploring nature, and learning through play in a new, 39,000 square foot outdoor activity area designed by Texas A&M landscape architecture students. Led by professors Kenneth Hurst and Mike Teal, students refined and improved the designs in frequent consultations with center director Erica Ritter. Final project design and drawings were created by Xin Xu ’19 and Jiali Liu ’19.
